The Offshore Hive was founded in 2022 by Director Matthew Zeludko and Alicia Collin – experienced Freight Forwarders from Australia & New Zealand operating in the SME Environment.

During this period Matthew & Alicia were facing frustration in their own Freight Forwarding Business – due to the lack of access to experienced, capable, and affordable staff resources.

With SME’s facing ever-increasing cost pressures, local inflation and diminished local staff talent pools, Matthew & Alicia’s direction was clear – to expand their own BPO office in Manila and recruit, train and retain their own Offshore Teams directly.

Having already been previously a customer and experienced what other 3rd party BPO providers could/couldn’t offer over the past 10 years, Matthew and Alicia wanted to make their Offshore Office feel different – for the remote staff to be more “part of the team” – a genuine extension to their business and integrated into their local teams.

Once operations had successfully begun, it had become quite clear that there was an opportunity to expand services beyond resolving Matthew & Alicia’s own staffing shortage issues – to share the services with other SME Freight Forwarders in Australia and New Zealand facing the same exact challenges.

Today, The Offshore Hive actively partners with 10+ SME Freight Forwarders in Australia and New Zealand and has successfully placed 40 staff during 2022 and 2023. Unlike other BPO’s who employ 500-1000+ staff and can often leave SME Customers feeling like ‘just a number’, The Offshore Hive aims to provide personalised BPO solutions for like-minded SME Businesses with a mentality of partnership and cooperation.  The Offshore Hive aims to remain ‘boutique’ in size by carefully selecting SME Customer/Partners & Staff Candidates to work with – providing a level of engagement unable to be matched elsewhere.
